When You Lose Your Indieweb Identity
What happens when you lose your indieweb identity?
Okay, that may be a little over dramatic. This past week, my hosting provider (surge.sh) experienced an outage and has yet to be fully restored. (https://mastodon.social/@readbeanicecream/115419256248922581)
I am not even mad about it. I have written how much I enjoy using the service (https://readbeanicecream.surge.sh/2025/05/02/build-your-blog-in-three-commands/) and how easy it is to use it. Because of that and the fact that they are a small open source company, I give them a lot grace
and patience. It also helps that I only use them for my hobby blog https://readbeanicecream.surge.sh.
However, I would like some sort of backup for just such an occasion. So, here's my Pagecord site. I am not going to port my entire site here, but I may use it as my alternative indieweb identity or voice until surge.sh gets its kinks worked out.
Maybe, I'll look into mirroring since I really do not care about metrics. So, if you follow readbeanicecream.surge.sh via rss feel free to my rss feed here, too.
We can all see how this little experiment plays out.
